Yesterday was a busy busy day…Radio interview with KQ 94.5 at the ass crack of dawn and I don’t speak a lick of Spanish…regardless I had a good laugh and a lot of fun. It’s funny how you can understand people sometimes, despite not knowing their language…we all speak so non-verbally half the time.

After that we came back to the hotel to start the tv beautification process…holy make up. I felt like I had icing on my face lol First one we did was called Extremo a extremo. Its a daily variety show that airs every day for 4 hours! Yikes…lots of bright colors and again a lot of fun. Lots of akward moments when I hear Spanish Spanish Spanish Kristen Quintrall Spanish Spanish…you can’t help but think they are talking smack about you lol Thank god my two co-stars Jane Santos and Angie Jerez are from here to translate.

Then we literately rushed over to the next place, which was guarded by men with guns. No big deal, just holding an M-16, keep it moving. Thankfully, this host spoke some English and I got a few words in

Then we came back to the hotel for a wardrobe change, where I was fighting to keep my eyelids open…caught up on Spartacus: Vengence Season Finale instead. Xena NO!!!! Twas pretty epic…anyways, got changed, attempted to re-curl my hair, since the hella humidity here is having a full on brawl with my hair…FAIL…and then back off the final interview.

When I say people here are insane drivers, I’m not exaggerating. Every car has like 4 dents in it. There aren’t “lanes” per ce lol It’s like NASCAR racing where the world is your oyster. If there’s enough room for your car, it can be a parking spot, even if it’s in the middle of the road…anyways, my life flashed before my eyes so many times I feel like I could write a memoir now lol

This last one was, I’m told, closest compared to the Dominican Republic’s version of Leno or Letterman. Movin on up And woke up this morning to my smiling face in the Newspaper! I hope all that hard work pays off and we have a huge turnout for the premiere tonight. It’s a great movie with an amazing message and it’s already changing lives. I’m so blessed to be a part of it and I just can’t wait for it to be shared with the world.

Oooooh and our trailer plays every 5 min on the jumbo tron in the middle of the capital city…it’s like their “Times Square”. Wish me luck as I go cake on a layer of icing for tonight’s premiere!
